How we are funded

The Bulimba Community Centre is a registered charity with The Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC). We are a self-funded organisation powered by:

  • Memberships
  • Donations
  • Fundraising
  • Partnerships
  • Philanthropic Grants including Trusts & Foundations
  • Events and Venue Hire

In addition to the above sources of funding, our amazing team of volunteers devote their time, skills and expertise to allow us to sponsor and support various community programs and initiatives. Find out how you or your organisation can make a difference.

“Community groups like yours play such an important role in making Brisbane a great place to live, work and relax, and I thank you for your ongoing work in our community.”

Bulimba Community Centre Artwork

Our artwork

The blue community circle represents Bulimba Community Centre itself and the people who make up the community. There are blue flowing waves circulating around this to represent the Brisbane River. In the background are the “Pee Wee” birds footprint as it has a special meaning to the local area. Surrounding the outskirts are multiple red flowering gums which are common throughout and are an integral part to native wildlife and ecosystems.
