Interested in Volunteering?

INTERESTED IN VOLUNTEERING? The BCC is primarily a volunteer-run and managed charity. Volunteers are the backbone of your Centre. Our volunteers are truly valued and respected and are asked to do as little or as much as they can on an ad-hoc or regular basis. It is their call. Our volunteers help with operations, project/program support, and for planning through to full delivery of events. Roles include, but not limited to, office administration, centre concierge, fundraising, marketing, social media, handyman, senior’s club, being a buddy with Sing Sing Sing (Qld’s first dementia choir), community gardener, committee member, event catering, event set up/breakdown, volunteer coordinator, and new ideas. If you are interested in being a volunteer in any capacity, please continue and complete the next round of questions.

If NO, you need a Blue Card to start volunteering.

This is a really simple process with 3 steps to follow (click on the underlined links below for more information). 1.Make sure you have a customer reference number (CRN) from the Qld Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR)– this is your Driver’s Licence number if you have one. 2.Register for an online account. This verifies your identity and provides the photo for your card. 3. Apply for a blue or exemption card using the online applicant portal. During the process, you will get a number which needs to be forwarded to membership@bulimbacommuntity.com.au so you can be linked with the Centre. Once linked you can then continue the process and your card will be free. Remember, if you get stuck at any stage we can help – just email us at membership@bulimbacommuntity.com.au
